Michelle Furey is the owner of MF Learning and she qualified as a teacher in 2012 with a Bachelor of Education (Hons) Irish (2:1) and a Teastas san Oideachais Dá-theangach (BOid.) from St Mary’s University College, Belfast. In 2020, she graduated with a Master of Education in Leadership and Management from St Mary’s University College in association with Queen’s University Belfast.

She has been teaching Irish to adults and children on a part time basis for 10 years working with Omagh and Fermanagh District Council, GAA Football clubs, Northern Ireland Peace Partnerships, WELB primary schools, youth clubs, Comhaltas Ceolteoirí na hÉireann, Irish Language Learners USA and the London Irish Centre.

More recently, she has brought her services online and formed her own business MF Learning Seirbhísí Foghlama. The aim is to work full time bringing the Irish language to students of all ages and all abilities across the world. It has been a challenging journey leaving traditional classroom based teaching however, she is thoroughly enjoying the rewards of bringing her native language to a wider global audience.
